I have not read all comments as of yet but I would like to say I hope this ends the reign of control and ultra conservative thinking in the church. We do not need anyone controlling our thinking and our actions. Let us all pray that the Holy Spirit will choose the next Pope and that we all can return to the mind and heart of Jesus. He is the mind and heart of our faith. We must stop thinking of the Vatican as the source of all teaching. It is lead by humans, If we allow Jesus to lead us we will truly return to Christianity and not to Vaticanism…….It is not a religion and the Pope is not God. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. The church must start teaching what Jesus taught and not what the Vatican teaches. There is much contradiction betwen the two and most Catholics only know what the Vatican teaches and not what Jesus taught and believed. Remember when we were told that we were not allowed to interpret the Bible that only the Church could interpret it for us? God forgive us for the Jim Jones attitude. Pray for the Pope. Pray for the hierarchy and pray for Christianity in general. Pray for the will of God in the name of Jesus to flow through the church. “That all may be one…..as you father in Me and I in Thee. That they all may be one in us.” JC
